This list is divided into four parts. The first section lists singles of ordinary passenger car plates. Below the single passenger section are pairs of ordinary passenger plates. Next is a section showing all years of unissued validation stickers that I have available (both license plate stickers and windshield stickers). All stickers were never issued. The last section lists non-passenger or specialty plates (such as truck, trailer, motorcycle, government, environmental, college, etc.).

Beginning in 1994 (for registrations expiring in 1995) Texas began issuing a windshield sticker to validate most types of plates rather than a plate sticker. Because of this all passenger and truck plates issued since then have no plate stickers. However since Texas assigns plates to the counties in numerical order the year of issue can generally be determined within a year or two by the plate number. For undated passenger and truck plates validated by a windshield sticker I have noted the most likely year of issue.

*Farm Truck:*
	1971 farm truck prototype, mint (# 8D*2000) $45 This is a prototype (manufacturer's sample) plate made to see what Texas plates would look like with a colored background. In 1969 Texas began using scotchlite reflectorization on its plates to make them visible at night. The color they used was white, meaning they had to change the color of the numbers each year to make the new year's plates distinct from the previous year's plates. However if the background color changed it would be easier to tell the new year's plates from the previous year's plates. This was a sample made up by the state to see how the plates would look like with a yellow background. As it turned out the yellow background was never used; Texas' 1971 plates were black on white, identical to the 1969 plates. They may have been testing a different material for the plates too, as this one is made of aluminum, a material not used regularly until the 2000s.

The first tow truck plates that were issued were the small-sized expire-1989 plates (which were issued as singles and used alongside the wrecker's regular truck plate). $150
