Stuff to read before you get to the lists of plates for sale...

Introduction

On the next pages are listings of license plates that I have for sale. Before you go diving into them please read the following as it explains a lot of things:

If you're not familiar with license plate grading terms please see the web page on grading and the photographic examples linked to that page. There you will find an explanation of the grading terms commonly used by license plate collectors.

Linked to the page of explanations are other pages with scanned images of several plates showing examples of each grade. Hopefully these pictures will give you a good idea as to how plates are graded. The images are large (approximately 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches) to give a good view of the plates. Each image file is from 20 to 50 kilobytes in size. There are six images per page so the pages might load a little slowly for some people.

When you are looking at the images keep in mind that plates tend to look a bit better on a computer monitor than they do when being held in one's hands. The resolution of a monitor is not good enough to show subtle differences that the naked eye can see.

At the top and bottom of this page is a navigation menu with links to pages listing all of the license plates that I have for sale. This is all I have available for sale. Please don't ask for something that isn't on this list. If it isn't on this list I don't have it and I probably won't answer your e-mail! There are lots of other plate collectors around and one of them might have what you are looking for. There is a very long list of other collectors listed on Andy Pang's web site.

Important!

On each page of plates for sale is a photographic example of the plates available. The photos are only to show what the plates look like - that is to say their basic design. The photos are small so that the pictures do not take a long time to load but it still might take a few moments depending on your computer and internet connection. The plate shown on the pages of plates for sale may or may not be the exact plate which is available. In many cases more than one plate of a particular year is available or the plate may be available in more than one condition.

If there are some plates here that you are interested in send me an e-mail at listing them and the zip code they would be mailed to. If you are outside of the United States let me know the country they would be sent to. Prices do not include postage. I'll look up the postage and let you know how much it would cost to send them. I work out of the country sometimes so may not be able to answer very quickly.

Return Policy

It is very rare that I've had somebody unhappy with a plate, but should you be unhappy with a plate I send you can return it at your cost for a refund of the plate's cost. Also, all packages are sent at your risk. My liability ends when the post office takes posession unless you pay for insurance. If a package is lost in the mail I will not send a refund. In nearly 30 years of selling plates to collectors I've never had a package lost but it can happen. For larger dollar amounts I will usually send packages using Delivery Confirmation but that is at my option. If you want a package sent with Delivery Confirmation you'll have to pay for it.

All packages are sent via the U. S. Postal Service, usually by Priority Mail or First Class Mail. For packages going outside of the United States I'll check both air and surface rates and if there is a large difference (say over a dollar or two) I'll let you know what the air mail and surface mail costs would be so that you can decide which you want. Sending packages by UPS is not available.

Thanks for having the patience to read all of this!
